Our Story

In January 1981, Margaret Long and Phillip Forsythe, both senior mechanical engineering students at Auburn University, crossed paths and started a journey that is still in motion today.

 

Margaret's entrepreneurial dreams, fueled by her father's encouragement, merged with Phillip's engineering passion, cultivated by his farm upbringing eventually created what is now Forsythe and Long Industries.

Since its inception in 1989, Forsythe and Long Industries has tackled complex projects across diverse sectors, such as fertilizer, chemical, mining, automotive and consumer products.

Today, while Forsythe and Long Industries has evolved since its inception, our core values remain steadfast, underpinning our commitment to positively impact our community and the world.
